GDPR – Privacy Notice

Who we are

At Yi Dao Clinic we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the services you have requested of us.

This notice relates to all personal information disclosed to Yi Dao Clinic directly as well as to the business owners, Conny and Zarig Cooper. Information disclosed to other practitioners operating from these premises is confidential to those practitioners, and data protection is the responsibility of those practitioners.

Why do we collect your personal data?

We need to collect personal information about your health in order to provide you with the best possible medical care. You can, of course, refuse to provide this information, however this would negatively impact the treatment you receive from us.

We also collect personal contact details in order to effectively arrange appointments or liaise with you with regards to matters relating to your care with us. Our reception staff have access to patients’ contact details (but not medical notes) in order to manage practitioner diaries and coordinate the pickup of herbal prescriptions.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We have a legal obligation to retain your records for 8 years after your most recent appointment (or age 25, if this is longer). After this period you can ask us to delete your records if you wish. Otherwise, we may retain your records indefinitely in order to provide you with the best possible care should you see us at some future date.

Do we share your personal data?

Occasionally we may consider writing to your GP/consultant to inform them of your treatment, in which case we will obtain your consent first.

In no other circumstances will we share any of your data with third parties, nor use it for marketing purposes.
